The race starts promptly at 10.30 am on Sunday 21/01/2018

Please ensure that you arrive in good time to pick up your number with chip attached and tee-shirt.
You will need to show the envelope the number is in to be able to pick up the correct sized tee-shirt.

Please car share if possible as we have a particularly large entry this year.

Late arrivals will be re-directed to the over flow car park which is a 5-10 minute walk from the start.

Keep an eye on the weather forecast near the time and dress appropriately on the day, parts of the course can be very exposed.

If the ground is not frozen you will encounter muddy, slippery off road surfaces, please wear trail shoes with good grip, do not wear spikes as there are sections of road on the course.

There are no showers available at the Mountain Bike Course.

Bring warm cloths for afterwards and some spare socks.

Refreshments will be available.

St Johns Ambulance are providing medical cover on the day,
if you feel unwell or injure yourself during the race, make contact with one of the many marshals as soon as possible.

The race adjudicator has been directed to ensure that runner’s fill in the medical information on the back of their numbers, please bring a pen so you can do this.

Please follow marshals instructions.

No head phones to be worn due to road sections of the course.

Please make sure that your race number is visible at the finish line, so the back up timing system can identify you.

If you get to the 8 mile marker and feel you are unable to complete the remaining distance, it is possible to short cut by missing out the loop on Canvey Island. If you decide to do this you must identify yourself to the marshal stationed by the bridge on to Canvey Island, which is just past the 8 mile point and they will need to take your number. This will shorten your run to about 11 miles and you should still get a chip time for this.
