Over the Bank Holiday weekend, members of the Benfleet Running Club
demonstrated exceptional dedication and prowess in their chosen races.
First up, Steve K (pictured left) demonstrated his exceptional endurance by
completing his fifth marathon in as many weeks, tackling the challenging first
section of Ultra Challenge Event’s London to Brighton race. Steve not only
achieved a personal milestone of completing Marathon Number 94 but also
selflessly supported a friend in her first Ultra, crossing the finish line in an
impressive time of 11:12:12. Well done Steve, you’re smashing it and we’re
so proud to have you at the club!
Continuing on from the Bank Holiday Weekend, our BRC athletes also shone
brightly at the Thameside 10k, a scenic race along the Thames Estuary
hosted by the Phoenix Striders. They all showcased their speed,
determination, strength, and endurance in the sun!
