The 2nd round of the South Essex Cross Country League, held at Thorndon Park saw some fantastic individual results from Benfleet Running Club. In 7th place Andy Low produced a strong time of 27.11. Paul Ruffy took the next Benfleet placing with a time of 28:09, closely followed by team mate Graham Booty in 28.34.in 29th place overall Alan Clark finished in 29:09. A promising 17 year old, Dexter Goward scored for the second time in this season returning in 29.55.
For the Benfleet ladies Catherine Stunt showed her class with a 15th place. It is great to see Jacqui Watson on form, 16th in 32.52. 18 year old Abbi May Walters made her debut for BRC in the points with a time of 34.28. The next three ladies under 35 minutes was Katie Wilkinson (34.48). Nikki Leigh (34.48) and Jayne Stacey (34.49)
