Chelmsford 10K
There was a fair turn-out of Benfleet Running Club runners for the cold and wet Chelmsford 10K. Chris Wayman took the BRC first place honours putting in a fabulous time of 36:54:00 and finishing 14th overall. Up until the 8KM mark Paul Ruffy looked likely to be the next man over the line for BRC, however team mate Andy Low showed the great form he is in by chasing down the younger man crossing the line ahead by three seconds in 37:26:00, Ruffy 37:29:00 to take 16th and 17th places respectively. Alan Clark (38:26:00), Tim Tomlins (41:20:00) and relatively new club member Jack Hodges (43:46:00) also put in a account for their selves.
Jayne Stacey continues to go from strength to strength being the first lady over the line from BRC with a course PB of 45:02:00. Also from Benfleet RC was Stuart Ross (46:13:00), Stephen Burton (47:18:00), Isla Sinclair (48:05:00), Graham Douglass (48:51:00), Mark Cowan (49:07:00), Morgan Reddish (51:31:00), Melanie Anthony (53:19:00), Sharon Ruffy (55:44:00) and Terry Allen (56:56:00).
