Age is but a number at Benfleet Running Club
Clive Hopkins was the oldest Athlete at 80 to complete the Beachy Head Marathon in just over 7 hours.
Daniel Carter ran the Frankfurt Marathon in 3:08:17 not bad for the fourth marathon in 3 weeks.
Sean Allison ran the mountainous Snowdonia Marathon in 4 hours 39 minutes
County Cross Country Championship Results
Senior men came 10th in division 1 and 9th vet team. George Watts 52nd, Terry Spooner 53rd, Andy Low 58th, Michael Feltham 76th, Nick Rankin 96th & Stephen Burton 183rd.
Senior women came 9th in division 1 & 6th vet team. Dominique Hart 17th, Nikki Leigh 43rd, Liane Conners 65th, Annette Johnson 69th, Laura Williams 95th & Fran Webster 108th.
Under 20 Women; Victoria Hiscock 1st & Abbi-May 8th.
Under 17 men; Charlie Sullivan 19th.
Under 15 boys; Archie Conners 27th.
Under 13 boys; Ronan Longman-Young 38th
Under 13 girls; Lucia de Cristofano 39th.
On the back of her performance Victoria Hiscock has been selected to represent Essex in the SEAA inter-counties xc champs at Horspath on the 9th December and will also be joined in the under 20 team by Sinead Clark.
